Supervision Services
What is Supervision?

Supervision refers to a structured process of professional support, with the aim of helping supervisees to present, discuss and understand issues related to their particular professional practice contexts.

Supervision is also aimed at providing facilitated discussions that can be helpful to supervisees for gaining new insights, perspectives, knowledge and skills. The supervision process emphasises professional development and support, and can take a variety of forms, including individual or group.

At Transformative Psychology Centre various models of supervision are available that are informed by a range of theoretical perspectives and approaches, as well as by the supervisor’s training, competencies and experiences. Additionally, supervisees’ professional practice and work contexts, individual or group expectations, and their particular needs and preferred outcomes, will influence the supervision model and approach offered.

Other supervision considerations include the knowledge, experience, needs and expectations of the supervisee or group, the individual’s or group’s professional practice context and client groups, and the parameters of the supervision relationship and agreements.
